How long should I expect to spend at the Dropzone?
Skydiving is weather-dependent. We only jump during favorable and safe conditions. Your jump will take around 1 hour in total, but please allow up to 4+ hours in case of weather delays. Please arrive at our office 15 minutes prior to your scheduled check-in time.
Do you allow Walk-ins?
Yes, absolutely! However, they are dependent on availability and additional fees may apply. We highly recommend making a reservation.
Are Spectators welcome to watch?
Yes, of course! At our Youngstown location, we highly encourage friends and family to come out and watch. We have picnic tables and plenty of room for everyone. Our Niagara Falls airport location is more restricted; due to strict airport and TSA policies, only jumpers are allowed past the secure fence. All spectators must watch from the parking lot.
Which location has a better view?
Both locations offer an incredible view of Niagara Falls. While both fly the same flight path over the Falls, the starting location is different. Our Niagara Falls location is just 4 miles from the center of the Falls, while Youngstown is about 9 miles. Some argue you get an added bonus at Youngstown with views of the Niagara River, Lake Ontario, and—on a clear day—the Toronto skyline!
What should I wear?
We provide all necessary skydiving equipment. You just need to wear comfortable, athletic clothing and closed-toe shoes without hooks. Sneakers are best! Please remove all loose jewelry and watches.
How fast are we going? How long does the skydive last?
Once we hit terminal velocity during freefall, you can expect speeds of 120+ mph! Under the parachute, you’ll enjoy a gentle glide at around 10–20 mph. The freefall lasts approximately 40 to 60 seconds, and the parachute flight is between 5 and 6 minutes.
Do you jump in all weather?
We only jump in favorable and safe conditions. Like many outdoor sports, skydiving is sensitive to unexpected weather delays, such as low clouds, rain, or gusty winds. If you are “weathered out,” our team will help you reschedule at no additional cost.
Can I take my own camera with me?
Safety is our number one concern. Students are not allowed to carry any objects with them. This dropzone is a member of the United States Parachute Association. To comply with safety requirements, even tandem instructors must have at least 200 tandem jumps before using a camera in freefall. Trust us—our staff knows what they’re doing. Get the video!
Is there an age or weight limit?
Yes, you must be at least 18 years of age with a valid ID. The weight limit is 250 lbs; please note that additional fees apply for individuals over 200 lbs.
Is alcohol allowed?
Safety is our top priority. Open containers of any kind are strictly prohibited during operating hours. You must refrain from consuming alcohol, marijuana, or drugs of any kind within the 12 hours prior to your jump. Violations will result in the forfeiture of your reservation without a refund. Once skydiving operations have concluded, guests of legal age are welcome to enjoy an adult beverage.
